Accident and emergency department is the main entrance of Kibungo Referral Hospital, all patients in critical condition( medical,  surgical and pediatric) pass there then resuscitated before admission and being oriented to their departments, we have 1 mechanical ventilator machine for critically ill patients, intubated and monitored there,   we do various procedures like reduction of dislocation under sedation,  debridement, washout, immobilization, dressing for open fracture and wounds,  burn and minor surgeries management, infusions, blood transfusion and nebulization.

We do also medical consultation for same patients, and monitoring for patients admitted in our department, 

Accident and emergency department has  14 beds including 

• 4 for resuscitation room adult

• 4 resuscitation room pediatrics

• 2 in triage, 

• 3 for yellow and Green not in critical condition 

• And 1 bed for minor surgery, 

Accident and emergency department has also ambulances that help for transportation of patients from health centers or to be transferred to other hospitals.
